The mainstream media is tying themselves in knots as they try to spin the election results in France. They're using words like 'shock, 'chaos', 'turmoil', and 'unknown' to spread fear. They're saying no one party got an absolute majority. But, what they're not acknowledging is that coalitions are normal in democracies around the world that aren't derived from a Westminster two-party system. On the left, the New Popular Front includes Jean-Luc Mรฉlenchon, Socialist Party, and the Greens.
Emmanuel Macron and Gabriel Attal's Renaissance is in the centre, and includes the liberal Democratic Movement.
The third major group is the centre-right Republican Party. In the past, they had their time with people like Nicolas Sarkozy and Jacques Chirac.
Next is the National Rally, led by Marine Le Pen, and taking votes from the centre-right to promote Fascism.
