The incompetence is getting so many people killed.

Every time I turn around, it's "Well, the administration didn't anticipate [insert obvious consequence here]" of this asinine was against Iran.

A gaggle of 13 year olds with basic knowledge of the game of Risk would do better, likely beginning with, "Starting a war with Iran is a dumb idea, let's not do that."

Oh, and I almost forgot! Shoutout to my floof dragon Sean for being exceptionally cooperative today while I cut/razor-combed/wrangled a mat out of his little armpit.

It's been a minute since I had a fluffy cat, and I had forgotten that they just can't groom their armpits... I have thankfully been forgiven for my oversight.

So, every work task has administrative minutiae - things need to be written down, boxes ticked, etc. It’s fine. Annoying, but fine. I'd rather put my time and energy to the task at hand, but OK. (One of many reasons I'd be shit in management anymore.)

However, I have come to the conclusion that the more myopically obsessed you are with the administrative tidbits - and constantly changing them, the less you actually care about the task attached to it actually being done right.

3 business days later and I still have no meeting notes.

Come to find out it was a "manager meeting" and our poor go-between got all this verbally.

I have now kicked this up to our US managers and basically said, "Go tell the new overseas manager to communicate properly with ALL OF US."

My annoyance is about 20% with the task at hand and 80% "why don't you seem to want US management to know what you're asking us to do?"

OMG. Got pinged by one of the folks on the overseas team. “We had another meeting yesterday and we’re making more changes to how the test cases go into the system.” (Of course.)

Oh, and it’s retroactive so you’ll have to go make changes to all your test cases going back to SUMMER OF 2024.

That is when I said the team lead needs to put this in writing in an email to me & my US partner in crime, AND cc our boss on it. Cause I am 110% sure they don’t know about this spectacular waste of time.

Oh, it's International Women's Day.

Yeah, it was iffy to start, but NWS cuts can't help at all.

But the sun has finally made an appearance!

Gawd, forecasting has gone to shit and I have a feeling it's mostly the NWS cuts from this shit admin.

1 week ago: Saturday will be sunny! High 70s!

This morning: 45F/7C, soggy, and fogged in. We may get some sun this afternoon and hit 60F/15C.

Sure, there were fronts and wedges and whatnot and this is very spring behavior here, but DAMMIT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SUNNY AND HIGH 70s.

Still going to the art market, but begrudgingly taking a sweater.

Fun book I read today - Who Ate the First Oyster? by Cody Cassidy. Very interesting, fast read, not depressing.

Sean: I CAN BE ADORABLE, TOO!

Jorge is very sad this morning that I only have 2 hands and need them both for work.

Then we have this guy, who has zero idea that weather is even happening.

The snow has finally started and now I really, REALLY want to leave the house and go...anywhere.

The radar says it's snowing, but the window says it's not, and my brain is very, "You should get out of the house before the snow starts!"

Get out and go where and do what, I don't know, but I guess my brain thinks we're gonna get trapped, LOL.

Vet's office called this morning and Sean's bloodwork is all in normal ranges, YAY!

So happy we can keep going with the apoquel for my sweet ItchyBritches.

Here it is, ready for the first firing!

I also got back the plaid plate after slumping, and the white/mixed color puddle, and the bottle melts, but I didn't get pics in the classroom and there's no good lighting right now, will post tomorrow.
