Crackers had something from hackers, they are still hackers in a narrow sense because usually they targeted corporations because were doing something nefarious. But cybercriminals can't be hackers, because they are hired to target common people and institutions that provide help or humanitarian honest service, like journalists, political adversaries or activists.

They represent the true crime of this world, those who profit from slavery and preserve power to control knowledge and information.

Stop using the words #hacker, #hackers or #hacking within a context of cybercrime. In a decade or two you'll regret commiting that stupid mistake.

Hackers have built the technologies that sustain the internet. Open standards, free software, open source, you name it.

Internet would be a failure from the start if technology was closed or owned.

If you keep confusing hackers with cybercriminals you are protecting the criminals that comprise states, gobernments and corporations payed mercenaries.
