What happens if you try to stand still in Bengaluru?
1. You are offered seed money by a passing VC.
2. You get accosted by auto drivers asking you where you wanna go.
3. Someone asks you for directions to somewhere (which involves you asking them to take a right on a dead-end, Bengaluru-style).
4. Strangers come and ask you what you are selling.
5. You are knocked off by a two-wheeler that is moving on the pavement you are standing in (because the road is too crowded with vehicles anyway).

India's sports ministry "raised objections" to WFI office being run out of *BJP* MP's house almost *12 MONTHS* after a lot of champion wrestlers fought for justice. Why this late realization?
Reason 1: Because BJP CAN afford to be indifferent because we people turn blind to BJP's most dastardly deeds... because... "Ooh, look, Ram Mandir!!".
Reason 2: Elections are approaching. We people, like dumb sheep, will conveniently ignore the delay and the insults loaded onto the protesting wrestlers.

@drupler @tokyo_0 That's the specific difference I was highlighting. The situation has not "worsened". It has been "normalized". This is a shift in the Overton Window gradually over time. Such instances of segregation have become "acceptable", now.

At one point, this would have seemed 'wrong' to many Indians. But in the last 9 years, this has been totally normalized, and now most Indians feel that this is precisely what we wanted, what we voted for, and will vote for again.

"Virat has chosen Duroflex Back Magic Mattress in every city during Cricket World Cup"? Does it mean hotels in which the team stays customize only Kohli's room with a particular brand of mattress, that too, only during the team's stay? 🤔
