Loved teco and would have preferred it over vi as a default editor in Unix. Emacs would be out for me because I need something always installed since I can bounce between systems to much.

Maybe the biggest problem was needing to step through files buffering in our out sections. Note necessary on modern systems.

Could these bright white images just be text?

I can't read the small black on white text on my narrow screen. Even the bright white hurts my eyes just scrolling through my feed. I would prefer to use my own text theme.

Since you are nicely doing alt text anyway the images are really redundant.
