Happy #FossilFriday! Did you know that many theropod dinosaurs have thick pads on the bottom of their feet? Much like the paw pads of dogs and cats, these probably helped cushion their footfalls and assisted in gripping the ground when running. (1/2)

Based on this image I took of the Ceratosaurus mount at the NHMU! I tilted the head up a bit and didn't draw the arms bc perspective scary

This is an impression of the bony armor surrounding Stegosaurus' throat for this #FossilFriday! These small, bony ossicles would have served as valuable protection. This specimen is housed at the Prehistoric Museum in Price, Utah. (1/2)
