Sometimes you gotta get out your big boy lens and take pictures of Juvenile Seagulls, because they have the biggest Seagull chicks in the world here as they have worked out that people are dumb enough to eat their fish and chips on the sea front.

"I'll be using Co-Op for the funeral. I would have used Clive, but he was SUCH a NAUGHTY BOY at school there is no way I could tolerate it." Clive our local undertaker is in his late 70s and she literally held a grudge for 7 decades.

I have just been reminded of a story. I was at my Aunt's memorial service & me and the cousins were all chatting with our local Vicar. He asked us if we all knew Henice. Henice was our Yr 1 Primary school teacher. She was awful. So the story goes that her husband passed & the good reverend goes to do his duty. At the end of the visit, she pulls him aside and says:

My side quest today was to take as many shots of churches in Llandudno as I could. I found 8. 3 Methodist, it is Wales after all, 3 Anglican, 1 Catholic, and I had to look up what the Christadelphians Church was. The more you know.

I have found myself in Wales. I may be some time.

She then proceeded to tell me that he would never get a job as an airline pilot, despite having a pilots licence because he's Black. Because and I quote "Well they are all criminals aren't they?". She is an 85 year old stroke victim, but people wonder why I don't see family more often. She then moved on to an incredibly awkward conversation about artificial insemination before I left. End of rant.

I need to vent.

This afternoon I went to see an Aunt who had some family photos for me. She has been pretty much aggressive & dismissive towards me for the last 45 years, as I discovered possibly because I ran my scooter into her car when I was 4. So today, for the first time, she treated me like an adult. After a lovely chat. She then started talking about my cousins in Botswana. The youngest of whom has recently got married.
