Penmon Lighthouse - Anglesey
We had a scouting trip to Penmon Lighthouse. It's probably worth another visit on a stormy evening.

Ashness Jetty
Another photo I'd overlooked. I hadn't spotted the nice bit of light on the pier.
Ambleside Jetty
On the day I wanted to visit the Langdales as there had been snow the day before. We couldn’t get there as roads were blocked with abandoned cars. So we went for a walk at Ambleside
As the light was pretty atmospheric I decided to get a shot of the Waterhead jetty. Just as I pressed the shutter there was a flutter of wings from either side of the jetty. By complete fluke I captured two seagulls landing in unison.

Twr Mawr - Anglesey
Taken on Ynys Llanddwyn, close to Niwbwrch (Newborough). I think this is one of the most amazing locations I've visited.
The wind on the day was incredible and I struggled to stand still whilst taking this shot.
I had a long walk to the island (and back) as we were in our van which didn't fit under the height barrier for the nearest car park.
Recently back from holiday, whilst I took my camera it wasn't great weather for photography.
I took this whilst watching the boats at Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
Figures in the rain - Lyme Regis
Earlier last month I was seriously mulling over giving up photography. Problems with my leg(s) and just a lack of enjoyment from recent trips had me considering selling my camera.
I decided to see how I fared on my holidays and see whether I 'got my mojo back'. I think a change in style, or at least broadening the types of photos I take might be the cure.
Will be interesting to see if others like my new direction......
Grasmere Bench
I was heading back to the car as it was starting to rain. I spotted this bench as I hurried past. I decided to head back and grab this shot.
I've actually been back a few times to try to better it, but each time the conditions just haven't been as good.

Coniston Jetty in Blue
Took this shot before sunrise during the blue hour.
I'd hoped for more atmospheric conditions at sunrise but despite the forecast the weather was blue skies and became relatively mist free.
A new location, that I will revisit with different conditions.
The secret Borrowdale Watermill
(not actually that secret)
Gulls Landing - Waterhead Jetty, Ambleside
Borrowdale Watermill - near Honistor Pass
This one takes a bit of finding and when the stream is a full as this it involves getting wet feet to get the right composition.

Berwick-Upon-Tweed Lighthouse
Swirl How and Grasmere
From Monday. Happy to see that the new boathouse is finished, no more JCBs or bags of sand spoiling the view. 🙂
Duke of Portland Boathouse - Ullswater
Another from yesterday. A location that will need another visit as the light/conditions weren't as good as they could be.
I'm glad I got autumn colour though.
I only post photos on this account. UK based. I rarely do sunsets preferring moody skies. Amateur Landscape Photographer based in the UK. Amateur photographer since December 2022 All photos my own unless a boost. 1 image = 1 shutter press (no blending)
