Morning world. I have a problem. I still feel guilty trying to do something that gives me pleasure. I’m going to try and work through this problem today.

Morning world. Going home-home today. It seems both Mother and I have slept in a little this morning, which is no bad thing. Perhaps I’ll surprise her with a morning cuppa, instead of the other way round. ☺️

Morning world. Apart from a brief supermarket run, and topping up my car's fuel tank, I have nothing planned for today. I may spend a little time reminiscing about the lovely day I had yesterday.

Morning world. Having no particular reason not to, I slept in an hour extra. Such luxury. Now I’m up and awake, I shall deal with whatever Tuesday throws at me.

I think I shall enter lurk mode for the weekend. I need a bit of time away from everything, and it’ll do me good to stop picking this damned tablet up every ten minutes.

Unless something tempts me back, I’ll see you all on Monday. Play nicely.

Ha! If I remember, I will.

Hopefully they’ll concentrate on cement spillage from the abortive building works earlier this year. A proper clean is slated for another time.

Morning world. I think I’m expecting people to come and clean up some block paving today.

Morning world. I wake to rain. I need to do some #adulting, then the day is mine to do with as I please.

Morning world. I really do need to do a grocery shop. It’ll be an expensive one I expect.

Morning world. It appears to be raining. It looks like more than just a passing shower. There are actual puddles.

Morning world. A very pleasant evening last night, spent in good company. The fun of driving along Devon country lanes in the dark, too. More of the same is planned for today.

Morning world. I’m not rushing, or panicking, but I’m heading off on an adventure today. Watch out, south Devon!

I just called the plumber‘s office, to see if we can arrange for somebody to sort out my boiler. Turns out I just needed to reset it. Fingers crossed, it seems to be working properly now.

Meanwhile, the tap-fitting plumber has arrived.

Quite. Somewhat ironically, I’ve just had the reminder the boiler annual inspection is due!

Morning world. A plumber is expected, who will install an outside tap. While they’re here, I may get them to check my gas boiler. It’s apparently decided to not work. 🤔

Morning world. A couple of hot days ahead here. I’m not a fan of this new normal.

An elderly friend has been in hospital for a long time. We used to chat on the phone every day. Since this latest hospitalisation he doesn’t pick up calls. I’ve stopped trying to call.

A mutual friend has been keeping me informed about the situation. The outlook is not good, sadly. I feel guilty because I’ve not found time to visit.
