People are facing jail sentences for giving water to the thirsty and food to the hungry.
This is happening in the EU.
How did our authorities become so disconnected from the most fundamental instincts of human decency?

So, German leaders are talking about creating a second-class citizenship.
Now, where have we heard that before?
Oh, right...

If you think a brutal dictator whose armies have been engaged in an atrocity-ridden invasion of a neighbouring country is going to stop his armies after this and not launch another atrocity-ridden invasion of another country, and then another… you have not read a single page of European history.

The truth:
Putin's Russia invaded #Ukraine.
Russia's invasion started in 2014 & accelerated in 2022.
Russian forces in Ukraine have been committing war crimes & other mass atrocities from the beginning, both in areas outside their control & in areas they occupy.

I wish political leaders in Europe over the last decade had spent less time & effort fighting the invented “invasion” of immigrants and more time & effort addressing the very real, atrocity-ridden invasion to the east.
I mean, call me old fashioned, but armies with tanks, planes, and drones do infinitely more damage than desperate families carrying everything they own on their backs.

While the pushback against the sanctions is an important endorsement of global justice, more needs to be done.
A number of ICC member countries, including Australia, Japan, and EU members Italy, Czechia, and Hungary, did not sign the joint statement. Hungary even signaled that it may reassess its ICC membership.

Its new fan subscribed under the name Zenith Flowers. The person’s email: deiatruth@opm.gov, the same email the Trump administration set up for federal employees to report on colleagues who defy new executive orders to end diversity programs."
