Ya know, I was a huge Perl guy for a long, long time. And then I kinda got into Python and now I can't really imagine not having Python because I can just bang together a script that fixes a mass of markdown files in one go and I can get on with my life.

@KF0UNK That’s great! Plateaus happen. But honestly? 16wpm is what I use on POTA because it gets the 9wpm OPs and the 35wpm bug OPs.

And you can totally rag chew at 16. I hear. I’m really not a rag chewer tho I’d like to be.

Mastodon Ham Radio culture is amazing.

I am following 4 active threads about REALLY INTERESTING STUFF. On top of that, I see insightful commentary that makes me think about the hobby and how I enjoy it.

I went to Hamvention this year. I know EXACTLY why membership is going down. Mortality rates are gonna take the org out at the knees if it doesn't sit up and get relevant to younger (and hey, I'm 50 here and YOUNG in that room!) operators and those who have a more than passing interest in the hobby.
