I’m deactivating #Threads and going all-in on Mastodon.
I’ve been using both on and off for months, and my timeline on Threads has been overrun with shitposts, meme screenshots, and other nonsense.
I like that the #fediverse is smaller, more focused on building communities, and generally kinder. And most of the major folks I want to hear from are here.

Can anybody smarter than me explain the difference between #ActivityPub (Mastodon, others, eventually #Threads) and #ATProtocol (#Bluesky)?
Why would we prefer one over another? Can they interoperate?
