Fresh coats - my father asked me to repaint the ‘Turbo’ logo on his International 976 Turbo tractor after he had given it a fresh coat of paint, and this little bobtail was showing off most of the shiny new skin they’ve been working on.

Hi I'm Ben and I'm making an adventure game that's Weird and Interesting.

This is what the game I'm making looks like.

I tried just a little bit of Lurking Horror before bed. I only died horribly twice, and solved such puzzles as "how long to microwave leftover Chinese food for?" and "how do I kill an eldritch maintenance man on an electric floor waxer?"

In my opinion the title screen for the Mac release of Wizardry was very, very good.

I should make a game entirely inspired by this:

@vga256 I actually find it really cathartic to post about stuff though. Even going "Hey, this week was frustrating, nothing worked how I wanted it to, that's part of the process" is interesting reading for some people I think.

SimFarm is going well. Have a dancing Cowmen Miranda gif.

Tonight I took a minute to look back through some of the backdrops I painted for Unavowed. Lots of warm colours in that game. I had forgotten most of them, and they vary a fair bit, but some of them I think look quite nice.

What section of a game world did you want to explore more deeply than allowed by the game? One of mine is the Hive in Riven - iconic enough that it was the box cover art, and such an evocative design, but we only get to see the smallest section of it.

I got these flowers for my grandma on her 90th birthday, she immediately started playing hide and seek with them as soon as I handed them to her, so if you ever wonder where I get my childlike nonsense from....

@vga256 Fantastic. The entire Z-Machine concept is just the BEST idea for preservation of those old titles.

@fringemagnet Quite right!! When I did my pixelly adventure game tribute to FFIX last year I knew Vivi was one of the absolute MUST characters I wanted to draw. :D
