Elephantuskjab@ianbetteridge @RollingStone isn’t the whole system of checks and balances designed to prevent exactly that? I mean the president is mostly a scapegoat for everyone to point a finger at and say “thanks, Obama” or whatever. They don’t really have the power to do anything on their own.
