Anyone who thinks one election can solve even the biggest things wrong with this country, is painfully uninformed about just how entrenched those things are. And since the biggest villains own or control our narrative machines, we discuss none of it. We gripe about the symptoms of a disease, and reward pundits who do so artfully, but we almost never discuss the actual disease.

How do we find consensus for social change, with so many uneducated, uninformed, and uninterested people, and so many oligarchs and fascists spending billions to keep them that way?
I don’t know the answer, but from what I see of the minimal discussion of any of it, no one else does either. Color me worried for the future. Very worried.

Once again, the media treats the made-up FEMA bullshit as a “political controversy.” I am so sick of this shit. I don’t know why any of us tolerate it. We all have a death wish, perhaps?

For a few weeks, we had fascism on the run. I believe we still do. But we have to stay vigilant and keep the press at bay. The MAGA media mafia is everywhere. And they’re determined to make as much money from Trump as they can, even if that means electing him.

The press is falling into its same old rhythms on social media. But they’ve bifurcated into two camps: Threads and Bluesky, with a tiny fraction of them keeping up appearances of hope for a brighter future by staying in the fediverse. Has anyone noticed that these things are never openly discussed in the MSM? Only major sensational stories get any play at all today. Relevance and nuance are non-starters.
