Thinking back, it's no wonder it took me so long to discover my gender and my sexuality.
Like, I never got "the talk" from my parents, I had to learn all that stuff through Wikipedia :blobfoxangrylaugh:
That, and being queer was just... not a thing growing up in a conservative town. Like, there was exactly ONE lesbian couple in high school but no one ever acknowledged it even though it was INCREDIBLY obvious.
This, right here, is why representation matters. Because without it, people (and kids in particular, fuck what the transphobes say) could go their whole lives suffering and feeling "wrong" if they don't know being queer is an option.
