@feditips @lashman : in a way that makes sense. It reminds me of the answer I got when I asked about quoted-toots. But it also makes looking for specific things complicated.
But I'm still puzzled. For instance I tried searching specific hashtags (say, #notion). Nothing came up but other were suggested (#notionhq for instance). But because there was no recent toot, I got zero result ? I can't see older things on top of not seeing non-hashtagged things ?

@lashman @feditips : hopefully that's the reason :) I also noticed that pics are hard to upload, so it makes sense.

@lashman @feditips : sorry, I'm not sure I understand. If I use the search for, say, the sentence "Welcome to Mastodon", it'll only show results of people I know (and mine). But if I use the search for #welcometomastodon I'll see the results for the entire platform or instance ?
