hilarious that the arch linux install guide is all like

network configuration
1. create the /etc/hostname file
2. do the rest of the goddam network setup

in case anyone needs to add websocket support to their reverse proxy config in nginx you just need to add these lines under your "location":

proxy_http_version 1.1;
proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade;
proxy_set_header Connection "upgrade";
proxy_read_timeout 86400;

(silly me for thinking it would be something like websocket_support true)
