Why are there so many mysteriously appearing accounts with almost no followers that seem to appear on here to attack me over criticising Tony Khan and The Elite for the CM Punk situation? It's getting weird. The bootlicking and hatred for this pro-union, pro-abortion, pro-LGBTQ+ wrestler is greater than any hatred I ever witnessed towards Vince (sexual abuse), Flair (sexual assault), Hogan (racism), Warrior (homophobia), Triple H (racism), or any of the great number of vile bigots of wrestling.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics pointed out that there’s a “Buy One, Get One Free” promo code for tickets to AEW Grand Slam next week at Arthur Ashe Stadium. As of Sept. 6, WrestleTix had 6,311 tickets out for the event. Grand Slam 2022’s final count was 13,321.

That #ProWrestling has gone this long subjected to the whims of the capitalists in charge of the business, while so many similar industries are more respected, regulated, and unionised, is essentially an ongoing scandal. But, because it sits somewhere between sport and art, it’s also complicated — as pro wrestlers themselves will tell you.

The issue, fundamentally, is a lack of protections for pro wrestlers themselves, in an industry spawned from carnies of old, many supposed “superstars” treated much like circus animals – and the lack of broad understanding of the business in many ways permits promoters to act under the radar, without proper scrutiny as opposed to mere sensationalist stories once every few years.

As mentioned before, Tony Khan's booking is in panic mode - Thunder Rosa on the way, CJ Perry rushed on, Jade Cargill doing PR damage control and put back in the same spot she was in before, Bryan Danielson rushed back injured, and claiming time is running out on his career (so you'd better tune in, right?)...well fine, of course Khan's panicking.
