@jjetty More seriously, there are lots of arguments. The very best and most simple one being that when you elect a politician, he's in office for 4 years so his priority is to loot the country as much as possible in those 4 years so he can enrich himself. Politicians have no loyalty to "the people," that's why in every election all our choices are shit. The only way to guarantee good leadership is through an autocrat
