I live in a very conservative, rural part of MontCo, PA. In the most recent elections we somehow managed to vote in two...less-conservative (?) members to the BoS. Well, they've called an emergency meeting tonight to appoint a bunch of the outgoing member's friends to "volunteer" positions before the Jan 2. reorg. It's not illegal, but it *is* intensely shitty and incredibly bad form.

How are the Eagles defenders this consistently ineffectual? How is the offense this out of sync, against anything resembling a decent team? Why are the coordinators seemingly ALWAYS out-coached? At what point will I just fucking nope out and go to bed?

I hate the Eagles like they're a family member. I want the best for them always, but also, fuck them when they deserve it.

They deserve it right now.

To recap the last month of so of my life:

- my dad is being treated for lymphoma and is about to have a biopsy for what could be lung cancer

- my son's epilepsy disorder seems to be getting worse, the time between them growing shorter and the recovery time after them growing longer

- my son's been diagnosed with allergy-induced asthma

- my son is physically attacking my wife

- I'm pretty sure I'm spiraling into a depressive episode because...well, see above

Fuckin' life man.

Gang, I'm just going to go ahead and drop a big ole' "hallelujah" right here. My dad had his lung biopsy. It's non-small-cell lung cancer (not awesome, but waaaaaay better than the alternative), and the doctors are reasonably sure (pending a PET scan next week) that it's stage 1 and *VERY* curable.

I'm not ready for my dad to not be around, and I'm definitely not ready for my son to lose his best friend (his Pop-pop). I'm choosing to view this as awesome news.
