I'm hosting a new software forge, https://lavaforge.org. If anyone would like to join it registrations are open. We're running Gitea 1.18-rc1 and have federation enabled. We're one of the only few Gitea instances with federation enabled currently. I've worked hard on giving a nice theme, and things. So people joining and trying it out would be great!

Was thinking of hosting a public or semi public gitlab or gitea instance or something. Codeberg n stuff are cool, which is where I host my code currently, but I also have a dedi me and my friend pay for that isn't used for much currently and slapping something on it that other people can use so it gets use out of it while also providing a service would be pretty cool.

It annoys me new people think mastodon is the only alternative, fedi isnt just mastodon, god damn
