ftp.gnu.org is back, working, and upgraded.
ftp.gnu.org is down for a system upgrade. I estimate 30-90 minutes until it is back.
CGIT on Savannah appears to be working well since reenabling it on Wednesday.
Please note that performance across our network continues to be degraded due to high volumes of abusive traffic.
We have blocked a number of IP addresses we believe to be involved in the attack. Following this we've resumed CGIT web viewer for git repositories hosted on Savannah; it's possible we'll need to take it back down as the attack(s) continue.
We have temporarily stopped CGIT and HG Web to help mitigate a DDoS attack currently ongoing. Other services may be slower to respond to network utilization consumed by the current DDoS activity.
Thanks for your understanding and sorry for the inconvenience.
RT, our phone lines, and some internal machines are back.
Browsing cgit is currently disabled on git.savannah.gnu.org due to abuse.

If you are trying to archive the site, there is an easier way than HTTrack or wget. You can download the repository and build the latest static site locally. https://savannah.gnu.org/cvs/?group=www
