@gamingonlinux MangoHUD is the best system monitor overlay out there, regardless of OS. Whenever I have to use Windows to play a game due to garbage anticheat I miss it dearly. RivaTuner Statistics Server is just nowhere near as good.

I just wish MangoHud would auto-configure whatever is necessary to report CPU power usage appropriately.

FEX emulator statistics is a great addition for gaming on ARM!

If #MarvelRivals is crashing for you on #Linux after the latest update, add this to your game command line and it should start up fine:

LD_PRELOAD="" SteamDeck=1 %command%

I hope they fix it so that it doesn't require the SteamDeck variable set though, not all Linux is Steam Deck.

New #phosh #squeekboard landed in #postmarketOS! Handles fractional scaling significantly better now! The keyboard still gets smaller, but it stretches to fill the available space rather than wasting space with black bars and making the keys even smaller. I hope that fractional scaling eventually will not impact keyboard height at all, but this is already a huge usability upgrade.

After seeing a #postmarketOS merge request adding the Xiaomi Pad 5 non-Pro (xiaomi-nabu) and seeing they had the pen working, I cherry-picked some commits from the sm8150 kernel tree to the sm8250 kernel tree and got pen working on the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro (xiaomi-elish)! I created a merge request against the sm8250-mainline project so hopefully it gets pulled into postmarketOS in the next kernel release.

Half Life 2 Deathmatch works great on #postmarketOS #Phosh with FEX-Emu and Distrobox! Runs smoothly on my Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro with the pogo pin keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse!

While not exactly the same, remember that what is happening with #CrowdStrike could also easily happen with kernel level #anticheat software. Giving proprietary software vendors permission to insert whatever they please into your kernel, especially with the ability to auto update it, means giving up all control of your system to that software vendor. One day CrowdStrike, the next Riot Vanguard. Don't let this garbage into your system! A game is not worth losing your system or your data over.
