@BeAware I don't know for certain but I have inferred it from the fact that I've tagged that bot multiple times in the past (I'm an author and I talk a lot about books) and sometimes the messages get reposted and sometimes they don't.

But even if it IS fully automated... we should block bots that aren't configured to weed out Nazi and other hateful content.

The bot doesn't repost everything automatically. There's a human moderator who let that hateful message go through.

Please block/report @bookstodon it's gone full Nazi, reposting messages like "f*ck the j*ws."

Why can't we have nice things.

@david_chisnall that's all great analysis but it leaves out the part where Yahoo!'s only real business model was raising tons of money from market speculation by fund managers.

I'm 💯 for human curation but the reason it keeps failing to sustain platforms is that human labor has value and there has never been a way to scale up revenue to match the labor load.

When someone tells you who you are to them, believe them.

Open platforms can be misused by bad people for bad things.

The nice thing about the #fediverse is we can actually block, shun, identify, and prosecute those bad people.
