I had been looking forward to May 15th ... the day Data Centres > 500Kw in Europe, to comply with the Energy Efficiency Directive, would have to publicly report their floor area, installed power, data volumes, *energy consumption*, PUE, temperature set points, *waste heat utilization*, *water usage*, and use of renewable energy.

But alas... it has been delayed to September 15. :unacceptable:

I couldn't help but notice the massive Microsoft data center hiding behind these newly planted trees. ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Little did I know this was part of an ecosystem project! After a Microsoft team had "researched local ecology, including native habitat types and biodiversity, soil health, water and air quality, as well as community agricultural practices" they decided to use "the tools of biomimicry" to enhance their data center.

This... this is biomimicry according to Microsoft.
