EU passes law to ban sale of (net) CO2-emitting cars by 2035.
It includes some exceptions for e-fuel, in which hydrocarbon fuels (e.g. e-kerosene) are produced from CO2+H2O via electrolytic processes driven by clean energy (at 1/5th the efficiency of BEVs)
Much of the pushback from mandating BEVs exclusively came from "muscle car" manufacturers in Germany and Italy like Porsche and Ferrari.
