I'm sometimes asked, how did gamedev work before stuff like git? How did people communicate fixes and changes?

I present to you, a comment thread.

Eruption started again in Iceland. This is the same spot about 3 minutes apart. It's why they keep telling you "don't go into these areas even if it looks safe"

Nordic National Anthems

Iceland: "Look at this tiny crying flower"
Sweden: "Look at how old and free we are"
Denmark: "Look at those armored giants and our King being cool on a boat" (2 different songs)
Finland: "Look at how long our song is" (11 verses)
Norway: "Look at all the shit we've been through, also we love cabins"

Icelandic phone numbers are 7 digits.

5xx-xxxx is usually Reykjavik (and surrounding area)
555-xxxx is usually my old home town (Hafnarfjörður)

Which means when movies go "555-1234" or something, then that's an actual phone number in Iceland.

When movies do this, I'll often look up the phone number in the Icelandic phone book.

Movie: "Yeah, my number is 555-xxxx"
Me: "Nope, that's a dentist in Iceland"

How can you comment on a Request for Comments when RFC websites don't have comment sections?
