U.S. sanctions against Russia have forced an immediate suspension of trading in dollars and euros on its leading financial marketplace, the Moscow Exchange.
The exchange and the central bank rushed out statements on Wednesday after Washington announced a new round of sanctions.
"Due to the introduction of measures by the US, exchange trading and settlements of deliverable instruments in U.S. dollars and euros are suspended," the Moscow central bank said.
My recent example of today's policy of "pay more, get less". My carton of washing powder ran out so I bought what I thought was the same one. It's still the XXL Pack but now as you see from the photo it is significantly smaller.
I knew it, I knew it!!! Yes - and I sleep too much, snack continuously during the day, I'm picky about who I associate with and I don't much like dogs. It's conclusive!
My personal thoughts about Trump getting re-elected: this guilty verdict and the other trials only make him more of a martyr figure for those who adore him. No other Rep candidate seems forthcoming, and some kind of anti-Biden information will be dropped near to voting day.. thus ensuring Trump gets back in, whereupon he will immediately pardon himself.
I used to see the DWP as a beneficial system, but they are hounding thousands of vulnerable and disabled people for repayments of benefits, often when the person involved did not know they needed to inform the DWP of a change.
I know this from experience when I was hounded for a large repayment because they insisted I had not informed them of a "change of circumstances" when in fact I HAD done so.

Is it a Bank Holiday in other countries, or just here in the UK? I think they added another day off after too many people couldn't face work after all their celebrations for New Year. But I'm not complaining. I just have to remember which day to put the bins out.
"The term "bank holiday" refers to the fact that banking institutions typically close for business on such holidays, as they once used to do on certain saint's days." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bank_holiday#See_also
