This is unfortunately very true, and it makes me wonder how many are being deceived and passing on fake information - already a lot of what is on the internet is deceptive, and with AI and so forth becoming more sophisticated, it will be easier to deceive the masses.
"Counter terrorism police are now leading the probe into the electrical substation fire that has shut London Heathrow Airport for the whole of today amid claims it could be a Russian sabotage attack linked to Vladimir Putin's campaign of disruption.
"Thousands of homes were left without power with more than 100 people evacuated after a transformer at the substation caught fire as a huge explosion was heard."
I had a difficult and frustrating day trying, and failing, to restore hubby's Outlook program. It demanded verification which I supplied to Microsoft, but on next launch overlaid a First Things screen which would not go away no matter what. On researching this I discover, of course, it is a known MS fault and not easily overcome. I adjusted the Registry several times, with no effect. All I have achieved today is a headache and a worry, and now my husband cannot download or access his email.
This is just something my fellow CPAP users will understand. I went without all last night, on purpose. The reason was two-fold. One, I had a very dry mouth before I got to bed, and didn't want to risk making it worse (One of the annoyances I do have with my CPAP is that it tends to dry out my mouth as well as my sinuses...} which takes me to my second reason. I wanted to see if not wearing the mask would result in a more restful night and less tiredness. And it did. So now I'm in a quandary.
A productive morning, moving, checking and throwing away a LOT of packing boxes for items we bought over the last few years.
I keep product boxes for a while in case whatever they held needs to be returned. There are also items that have been replaced recently (like the router) and I'm hanging onto the older version just in case.
Are you ruthless about throwing everything away, or do you store things for a while "just in case"?
I think I know now why they call it Spring Cleaning. It's when you finally don't feel too frozen to move around the house, and the sun is bright enough to show up the dirt and dust. Now I am exhausted, but at least the house is a little bit tidier and cleaner.
I just managed to organise the mound of different types of light bulbs we have stored as replacements for ones in the house. Remember when you could just go out and buy --- a bulb. That was it - the only choice was 40w, 60w or even 100W. Now you almost need a degree in engineering or be a qualified electrician to know what to buy, what to use. And if you get the end part right - small, large, screw or not - there's the type of illumination to consider and the power source. Hrmph.
In a press conference this week, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the $50m was located by the Department of Government Efficiency, a new task force created by Trump and led by billionaire Elon Musk.
It was later revealed that it was referring to a province in Mozambique. Gaza is a rural province in the African nation and is the country's least populated, with an estimated population of just over one million people.
Here is the latest forecast of what they are calling the biggest storm ever for the UK, but I am praying it will not be this bad. https://www.facebook.com/share/1Y3b5UQc7h/
I already knew what would happen but I clicked on an advert this morning because it suggested an effective daily diabetes treatment. The photo suggested it was some kind of fruit. But what? After clicking on three web pages I arrived at a video, that took me to another video, where the "doctor" launched into a long tedious spiel that ended in promoting a tub of vitamins costing ยฃ70 per month. He never explained the contents. This is internet life today.
I haven't been around much today, or lately, I know. It's been difficult to do normal things, and a lot of my day has been taken up with chores, reorganisation and computer necessities. Also, I have been falling asleep during the day, something I did today and yesterday because my night's sleep has been so poor lately.
