My "Social Media metaphor"...this also corresponds with my appreciation of coffee.

Twitter is like Tim Hortons:
--Gone to hell in the last few years. The owner is nuts. The staff is abused. The patrons are insane. And the product (ie the coffee) sucks.

Bluesky is like Starbucks:
--It's nice, but still corporate. Not a lot of real chit-chat between customers. And the product is still questionable.

Tooter is like the independent coffee shops:
--Staff and customers are friendly. The conversation is lively and intelligent and the coffee is a helluva lot better. Finally, the place isn't packed so you can actually hear yourself think.

What I hate the most about getting older, isn't simply watching my body decay with each passing year, but I feel that I my thinking has become old too.

I'm like 15 years behind the rest of the world. Now I'm not one to scream at clouds that the world is a worse place than when I was young, far from it.

But I feel like I've let the future slip away from me because I was complacent.

Of course I could try to reinvigorate myself and push my way back into the modern word.

Alas, I find myself mired by the first problem of getting old. As the old saying goes, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.

I am so bereft of strength and will these days. So hard to focus and do what has to be done.

So I continue to tread water hoping I don't drown.

...my advice...don't get old. Sucks rocks.😎
