the sink settings (!) are set with an infrared remote, which you have to place in front of the faucet IR sensor — virtually guaranteeing it immediately gets drenched in a spray of water. anywayyyy

🎺 If you can forgive some self-horn-tooting trivia, we just had a meeting ("jamboree") at Panic, and looked back at everything Panic did in the last six months! We:

• Paid out 18 tenure bonuses (celebrating 350 combined years of Panic employee time!)
• Signed a new office lease
• Completed initial new office design
• Added Kaleigh to our team for support and marketing (yay!)
• Designed, built, staffed a PAX West booth for four days
• Designed and built a brand-new mailing list management system

• Fulfilled nearly all Playdate pre-orders by shipping 24k+ units in 6 months
• Hosted a GDC Playdate Dev event
• Found a new Playdate fulfillment warehouse (long story)
• Unstuck a complex manufacturing issue (longer story)
• Did 11 incredible Playdate Catalog drops, launching 86 (!) Catalog games
• Funded and launched Quantum Phantom Basketball
• Added new features to Catalog, like categories, search, wishlists
• Created a new Playdate Catalog mailing list
• Sold 48,958 games on Catalog

• Launched Nova 11, with huge Git and Workspace improvements
• Released 3 Transmit updates and 7 Nova updates
• Nearly completed work on a significant new Prompt update
• Launched Nour: Play Your Food on PC, Mac, PS4 and PS5
• Created our first-ever Playdate Games Showcase video
• Announced Arco, Thank Goodness You're Here!, Despelote, and Time Flies
• Did some music licensing for TGYH lol
• And teased future Okomotive and House House game projects!
