I've felt small the last day and a half or so.
This song makes me feel powerful.
Anyway. It's making me feel better.

Also this song of revolution
For reference, with my work being #8 for blues-punk, Iggy Pop is #2.
Not that it's a really poppin' genre, but if you search "blues punK" in the genre section of bandcamp, 51 Miles From Nowhere is the 8th result. That's insanely cool to me.
Anyway.
#8 ain't so bad if you want to check it out

Also, oh yeah, new single is still new single.
Any support and love is funneled directly into a machine that converts it into a final, finished album.
Sometimes we feel unstable. Sometimes we feel like we're going to explode. Sometimes we have exploded.
I've caused a lot of damage in relationships over the years. Mania is a beast. But also, we are powerful.
That's what this song is about.
New single - "Back Away"
Happy Halloween!
My new single, "Back Away," is exclusively available for purchase on #bandcamp until December 13th. At that time, it should be streaming and purchasable most anywhere you can find music.
I decided to release early on Bandcamp because I've had a lot of traction here on the fediverse with bandcamp sales, and I want to kind of have that exclusive start for the fediverse.
I appreciate all of you. My music is the most listened to it's ever been, and that's mostly thanks to this community. Thank you.
Anyway. Check out the new single here:
Any tips for setting up an older Mac mini as a media box? It’s the “late 2014” model. I’m going to use it for local network backup, too. But I figure I might hook it up to the TV and put movies and shows on it.
We still have #bandcampfriday for a little while longer!
SO!
A Thread?
First off, shameless self promotion time! You all know my #music posts, and while the new album is coming, I'm still recovering from surgery.
In the mean time! Check out my latest release which also happens to be a fundraiser to pay for the surgery I just had!

Also! Have you checked out the public domain album I worked with @ajroach42 on? I’m thrilled with how it turned out. I’m very happy with my recordings and with Andrew’s wonderful curated selection of songs.
Anyway. It comes with a digital zine. And a physical zine if you order a physical copy. Shipping by January 8th.

I think it’s really cool how these 100 year old songs really resonate. This is something we’re planning to do every year, and this is a phenomenal way to kick it off.
Do you have a favorite track?
I think of the six songs I recorded as my adoptive babies. Well. Five adopted babies, and one franken-baby I made by mashing up parts of four other babies.
@ajroach42 wrote this very kind bio that makes me sound cool. I really love it, and it's from the zine we include with the public domain album.
Doctor Deathray
Born in Atlanta in the latter half of the 1900s, Doctor Deathray is a figure shrouded in mystery. She spent much of her adolescence learning the art of the blues while living under a false name, bouncing between the hills of rural Virginia and the dusty streets of various Atlanta suburbs before spending a decade studying her craft apprenticed to various musical legends in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and finally making a home in the hills and hollers of Southern Appalachia.
She has, to date, recorded several dozen sides of original music, traditional songs, and covers. Frequently accompanied by a backing band known as The Implements of Destruction.
Doctor Deathray was gracious enough to bless us with fresh recordings, original arrangements, and even a fresh composition for this celebration of the public domain.
I love this so much. It makes me smile.
Franken-Baby is a great band name
The eclipse was beautiful and rejuvenating to witness. Only partial here, but with 85% totality. I feel lighter.
We are cosmically small. But we are made of stardust, and we are here. And that matters.
Hello dear friends! I have been approved through insurance for facial feminization surgery! This is huge and something I'm incredibly excited about!! It's going to be life-changing, and it's something I never thought I'd have the opportunity to do.
But. I still have about $1600 left in my out-of-pocket maximum, and I know that's going to all factor in to this surgery. $513 of that must be paid by Thursday for facial scans. I don't have that kind of money.
I work three+ jobs. I barely break even. Loans aren't an option as my credit is completely shot unfortunately.
So I'm asking for help.
I have options for you! You can purchase music from my bandcamp! I have lots to choose from:
