https://keyoxide.org got a redesign 🎉 it was often complained Keyoxide looked too spacious, requiring lots of scrolling to view large profiles.

No more! Profiles with 20 profiles can now easily fit in one screen.

And Fediverse claims should now show "Pleroma", "Mastodon", "Peertube", etc! (Except in some cases, see blog post)

@wizzwizz4 always great to see people thinking about identity! The project has been quiet lately but I am very close to releasing a better way of working with Keyoxide, not needing PGP, just pure Ed25519!

And after that, I'd like to experiment with methods based solely on domain ownership, no cryptography.

I don't fully grok OP's envisioned approach yet, but I suppose that's coming somewhat near?

I feel it's time for a small statement.

I have been quiet the last few weeks, both in productivity and on social media.

This is nothing new for those who have been following this project for a while. A recap for the new folks: maintaining a FOSS project full-time as a one-person operation is tough, and I'm still learning the trade. Keyoxide (Kx) may not be a big project, but its scope is. I have been working full-time on Kx since its first commit a little over two years ago.

Mastodon supports verifying accounts by adding websites with backlinks. Can be your own website if you have one, can also be a #keyoxide profile page ?

There is now the possibility to hash your identity proofs!

So instead of adding your OpenPGP fingerprint to a bio section, you could add:

Not shorter but definitely useful if you'd rather not have people find your #keyoxide profile!

Big news for the project!

#keyoxide has been awarded a second grant by the great people at #nlnet and @NGIZero to further develop the project and make it accessible to a broader non-tech savvy audience!

This blog post should give you some details, and I will be sharing more about ideas and progress soon.
