In March of 2024 I ventured with 5 others on the biggest trip of my life. Backpacking 🥾 a portion of South Africas mountains. We spent 6 days at 3000m asl photographing the landscape.

For #MountainMonday I wanted to share a special #Astrophotography shot of mine.

While #Hiking the #Mountains of #SouthAfrica we were treated to a beautiful late evening inversion, and with it, an opportunity to capture a rare scene.

Per my guide, he knows of only one other photographer who has this frame, as it requires the inversion to block light pollution from the many villages below.

The company sources old carriages from across southern Africa, and renovates them in its Pretoria workshop. Lovely job here - check out the timber pillars.
