A question: if there was a cataclysm like in "Station Eleven" where 99% of humanity was wiped out, what would happen to #nuclear reactors and weapons? Are there doomsday scenarios for power plants in the event of something happening to the humans? Could such a site be decommissioned manually? How long would such a site last before it is dangerous?

A former SoCal Edison lobbyist, Assemblymember Lisa Calderon, has filed a bill to make this proposal law (AB 942).
These changes would apply to ALL solar customers who signed up for solar before April 2023 (NEM1 and NEM2).
AB 942 is scheduled for a hearing on April 30th. There is talk of tweaking the bill so lawmakers can break solar contracts while selling it as a “compromise.” Don’t let them get away with it."

A Norwegian court has determined that crypto mining is not "industry", and therefore can be excluded in local zoning plans for industry.
Municipalities in Norway want to exclude them because of the huge energy demands and very few jobs created.
This is a good decision. These data centres are a massive waste of energy and resources.
