So, Bluesky’s CEO Jay Graber is saying that they’re going to “label” political hate groups, supposedly to make it easy for users to hide them.
What this means first and foremost: hate groups, fascists and their friends are welcome to set up camp on Bluesky, and they *won’t* get banned. But hey, that’s ok if they’re getting labeled, right? 🙃
Bluesky is just another hate speech platform in the making (if that’s not already the case). Let’s not feed the hype.
This week I told my therapist that a good portion of trans people in this country are seriously considering to have a plan in place to leave the country for whenever Le Pen (or any other far right party) comes into power.
She was genuinely surprised to hear this, which to me signals how the average French person has no idea how extreme the implication of such an election result could be for trans folks.
