Is it really so difficult to understand that people with #LongCOVID would want to avoid a re-infection with the same virus, after they already had a bad outcome from an earlier infection. Especially when in 78% of such re-infections the symptoms tend to get worse?
Not only are we getting ignored, gaslit, psychosomatised and sometimes even ridiculed, but to then also expose us to the risk of a re-infection, that feels like getting collectively abandoned all over again.
"On the face of it, it doesn’t make sense. Once you get infected by a pathogen, your body should be better prepared to deal with it the next time it comes around, but instead of being better at fighting off the invader, people with long COVID are getting more hammered by it the second (or third or fourth) time around."
What if #COVID19 was a test run to see if we as a species could step away from all encompassing #Consumerism under late stage #Capitalism and instead build structures of #CommunalCare and #MutualAid. Well, if it was, we failed. 💯
"Where are we going to put our energy right now? I think it needs to be towards mutual aid and sabotage of our opponents’ technologies of extraction rather than trying to fix the state or get them to make morally right decisions. [..] But to me the urgency of the collapse timeline makes clear that it's time to save as much life and wellbeing and reduce as much suffering as possible given the conditions that are definitely unfolding." @deanspade
The capitalist system is so cynical exactly because it needs a certain amount of people who fail in it, to then use these *failures* to scare the rest into submission, into accepting unacceptable hardship and humiliation.
I am one of those failed ones, turned into surplus and probably soon eugenically disposed of, and i don't give a fuck.
I am more than ready to get active, once we start building the new system, fixing all this mess, have been ready for years. Running out of patience though. What are most of you waiting for, why do you keep participating in this bullshit?
Nothing but pure hatred left for the way we are forced to live under this fucked up system, this death cult. Let's fucking go and change this shit already. This is not a life.
"We’re catching up on those bugs we missed out on, the myth goes. Our immune system is in debt. Getting sick is the path back into the black. That hacking cough is simply your route back to baseline health.
It also neatly supports a business-as-usual agenda. Don’t worry, keep spending. It’s the perfect explanation to keep the capitalist train on the tracks.
It doesn’t stand up to any logical reasoning. But people are buying it."
"Milei, who received the support of Jair Bolsonaro, did not shy away from using national rock songs previously sung by the Left, such as those of La Renga or Bersuit Vergarabat, and even the “anthem” of 2001: the refrain “Que se vayan todos . . . que no quede ni uno solo” (“Out with them all . . . let not a single one remain”), which resounded thunderously in his closing campaign event."
Please stop calling #Milei an "anarcho-capitalist". There is no such thing as "anarcho-capitalism". #Anarchism and #capitalism are mutually exclusive. This construct only works if you misread "anarcho" as chaos/disorder, which many people do. But that's wrong.
Call him paleo-libertarian, neo-fascist, rightwing populist, call him whatever, but please stop calling him "anarcho-capitalist" and by that make it a thing.
"The concert organizers and venue managers did absolutely nothing to try and make the event safer. They packed Swifties into that stadium with zero attention to ventilation. They didn't provide enough water. Based on everything I've read, they followed the usual protocol of banning fans from bringing their own food and drinks.
