@HauntedOwlbear The main reason would be that it's just too much darned work to get all that stuff working. Gmail, for instance, is suspicious by default and if it suspects anything is unusual about your mailserver, it just won't deliver to their users.
You'll spend half your time trying to resolve those errors.
