@icedquinn that seems pretty useful considering all the games blurays seem to play with useless title markers

@icedquinn this is why I source the blurays of stuff I like. I don’t want web stream bitrates, I want a solid rip of the bluray in the best possible form, even if it’s a show nobody seems to care about now like Fringe or Caprica.

@icedquinn Chapters definitely work in my rips. What I rip with allows me to select specific video files so it pulls menu loops and the like separately, but in most cases everything is nicely nestled in the matroska file when it comes to the core content. The very annoying exception is when I have a disk I’ve ripped from a tv series that they haven’t bothered to separate the episodes. I’ve had to split files into separate matroska by chapter count because the bluray is designed to just play a whole season before and it is such a pain in the ass.

@icedquinn I rip my movie and TV collection to them. All those weird features are very useful for a dual language show with 20 subtitle tracks straight off a bluray.

@kaia Only true if you don’t value your time using and learning it. It’s an investment like any other body of knowledge, it potentially adds value to how you’re able to manage your future time.

@Moon the only one I’ve ever had was a 0w that I tried to set up a pihole/unbound server on. That didn’t last long, brief power outages aren’t that uncommon here and the lack of anything to save the state of the system clock would kill DNS for me since every ssl handshake would suddenly fail if the power had so much as a hiccup. Trying to figure out how to sync ntp out of band was a headache, so I would set the time manually but eventually I decided it was more trouble than it was worth.

@Moon any particular project you have it earmarked for or just to play around with the new one?

@Moon I know what it is, but every time I read the name I imagine a peripheral that reads everything out in the voice of Dr. Orpheus
