      @poshelnahuymedia@kolektiva.social Honestly, pay never really was a reason for me to switch jobs either. Its more important to have fun colleagues and interesting work, with good hours. Having good parties from time to time on the company's bill is also a good thing to have for teambuilding, much more effective than any dumb HR teambuilding game they can dream up with. Money isn't everything, most employees know this too. If you think a job is literally only ever a thing about money and nothing more, I feel very sad for you. RE: (📎1)

    There's a media review website that filters out woke garbage. Unsurprisingly, a lot of it's anime. I've not used it myself, but Thuletide mentioned it, and he's usually got a good head on his shoulders, so I'm spreading the word.

    @Zealist This is just my take, but much like we consciously try to reject our sinful nature, a name change represents a rejection of Simeom's, Saul's etc previous life. In every case I can think of, these new names are given directly by God. It also prefigures Revelation 2:17 and 3:12 where God gives each of us new names.
