@AlexanderKingsbury Often when there's a natural disaster, the relief organizations and government need to tell people "please stop sending <thing>, we already have <thing>". Sometimes even when people are sending money!

A rando just deciding to go to a place has no idea what is needed, that's correct. Maybe they'll make a lucky guess, maybe they won't.

One of the first things I searched for on the internet was the Norwegian group Bel Canto. Through ARCHIE I found a Gopher site dedicated to them.

Back to the Open Source Day, now it's di Cosmo, and he is currently speaking about #SwhScanner , which I think is a source integrity tool using Software Heritage data for source code provenance checks.

And now my conflicting project meeting starts. 😔

I'm impressed that the semi-OSPO we have is insightful enough to invite these people. Maybe I should get to know that part of our company better.
