@lanodan Yes, on my brainstorming, I have a lot of connections pointing into the direction of posting short scenes directly on social media (like this type of experiments: https://www.peppercarrot.com/0_sources/0ther/misc/hi-res/2022-01-20_Pepper-and-Carrot_mini-comic_02_Imagination_by-David-Revoy.jpg ). And maybe also test to port directly the proofreading on social media thanks to a mix of new technology: the "edit" feature here, 'follower only' type of post, and CW for beta/alpha material. A good mix to open the project more, more than just user who know Git and Gitlab. Many new things to explore!
@djlink Oh yes, a big +1 for arrows always as an alternative. And I wish many games had a menu with a way to remap these keys; because many keyboard layouts in the world don't have the WASD key positions. Here is how a game with only WASD plays on a French default Azerty keyboard... Unplayable:
Also as a tribute to Toriyama, I would like to share the cameos and influences in my webcomic here (which are hidden or vague due to copyright reasons):
1. You can find a Super Saiyan character doing the line in front of Saffron's house.
2. The magic competition arena decoration.
3. The fight with Shichimi
4. Goku was born "Kakarot" (carrot), so now you know why my cat with long tail and eyes like young Goku is called "Carrot".
I learned this morning of the passing of Akira Toriyama, the father of Dragon Ball, Dr. Slump, designer of Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger. Also, probably the artist who influenced me the most when I started drawing. Here is an old fan art I drew of Arale. My heart is really heavy this morning...
@lanodan Oh thanks for the two info: I had no idea why all the effort to put the link this way while they could paste it in the email. Now it makes sens. Also, good to know the link is down. I haven't even tried to click on it. I even was affraid about copying the URL in my clipboard, that's why it's a screenshot of my bottom bar adress and the font is super ugly on the 3/3 screenshot xD
For the curious, here is a follow-up on the scammer who pretended to be from the Kdenlive team. (Email posted yesterday, I'm replying to it ↑).
Confirmed: it's a scam and their goal is to get the target to install malware.
Here's the whole discussion as screenshot, and it wasn't easy because I had to use an old inactive Gmail account 🤢. That's because Protonmail is banned from this impersonator's email address, kdenlivevideo.site (handled by emx.mail.ru).
@tatianasaito That's a super service you have! Here it doesn't exist yet for pets in my part of France, except for farmers when they need a specialized vet for sheep, cows, horses. I have to drive 25 minutes to find the most nearby vet. 😅 I'll check again next year online if this service exists in my area.
@me_the_fl00f Hey, thanks for the investigation. I replied ( https://www.peppercarrot.com/extras/temp/2024-03-05_screenshot_172610_net.jpg ) because I'm too curious to see where this thing is going and also I'm curious to see the type of malware they have if they repackage the app, to bisect this and see if a protection can be found (or report it to a database of malware). Unfortunately, emx.mail.ru return a fail because Protonmail is banned on it. So I used another old email address to test if I can reach them. I'll keep informed.
Be careful: fake emails are circulating in the name of Free/Libre and Open Source projects. Below, an email received by @kdenlive that the official team does not recognize. Be vigilant, these are no doubt scams.
[edit: adding kdenlive hashtag, a request by the team]
@Bookherd Thanks for her! :blobcatheart: Tigrette is a sweetie, the kind of cat who can't resist to sleep on any available legs in the house. Very social, always around.
@sentinian Oh yes, that's why after I bought the first one, I continued with the same model for the #3 and #4. They are incredibly easy to clean and easier to monitor the cat from the top once driving. Good to know they are also good for vets. It's also great in the waiting room when the cage is on the floor to keep a visual contact with the cat from the top anytime.
A recent photo of my sketchbook, still training with ballpoint pen directly, a cruel training. But I am beginning to get a better ability to imagine perspective grids without tracing them, and I can even begin to plan full-page compositions. It takes a while to build these new skills, but they are worth it.
