    次の仕事を探してるけど、なんていうか技術負債解消の案件ばっかりだな。前の仕事もそうだったが…
    Androidは変化が速い上に追従できないとビルド環境を更新できずいずれPlayストアにアップデートを出せなくなるから新鮮さを保つ必要があるがそれができてない。多分背景としてはリニューアルのコストを捻出できないとか、普段から依存関係の更新ができてないとか、そもそも前のエンジニアが消えた理由は？とか、案件ごとの事情もお察しな感じ。
    一方でKotlin移行すらしないAndroid案件も見かけた。null安全が著しく弱いJavaで開発し続けるとか狂気を感じる。当然Compose移行も絶望的だから負債をまだ溜め込むつもりなのかと。絶対に関わるべきではないな…

    ファイナルファンタジーは「ナンバリングごとに異なる世界の最後のファンタジーを描いた作品」という制約があるので、ナンバリングごとに毎回毎回世界設定から作り直すという恐ろしい非効率がある。そのかわりに、空飛ぶクルマで街灯にかすって墜落してゲームオーバー…などの新鮮な体験が可能だ。

      日本には国土の3分の2に相当する約2500万ヘクタールの森林がありますが、世界で3番目の森林面積を誇るカナダはさらに多く、なんと約3.47億ヘクタールもの広大な森林があります。そんなカナダの人々の間では「広大な森林が二酸化炭素の排出を相殺してくれる」という常識が信じられていますが、気候変動により二酸化炭素を吸収するという森林の機能に転換点が訪れているとのデータが報告されました。

    #Mastodon 4.2 で画像サムネイルが縦長すぎる問題の対応。サーバ設定の外観のカスタムCSS に以下を記載しました。

    }

    object-fit: contain;
    -o-object-fit: contain;
    }

    添付画像のように一定サイズ以内で表示され、クロップではなく領域に合わせて縮小されます。
