Second level - the obligatory water stage, minus having to deal with water physics because this isn't a platformer.

A lot of blue in this one's palette... though, that changes once you finally go back above ground.

Well, this is where I WOULD have shown stage 5, the Yattodetaman level, but... I kinda called it.

Game Over screen isn't as cute as the sequel's... still, this was a good run - worth a revisit, though admittedly not as deserving as Bokan Desu Yo.

Stage four - the obligatory snow level (minus ice physics), featuring Otasukeman (referred to in this game as "Rescueman")... my gameplay got really sloppy here, so my run might end on the next level if I'm not careful.

Between this and Bokan Desu Yo, I'm kind of torn - they're basically tied for "most charming PS1 shmup I've played in a long while" now.

Found a model that someone else did the XPS conversion for - it had a few problems with the armature, and the only thing I could fix was adding in a Root Ground bone (good LORD, the armature on this thing is fucking WEIRD).

I figured I'd also work on the textures a bit while I was cleaning things up... images were all in JPEG format, so I swapped them out for PNGs. The model had no specular map, and the texture it was using in place of one would've been better suited as an emission map, so I created a new spec map and repurposed the old one for the glow on the gems.

This... was a very silly model to work with...

Found 4 more models in the collection I could make previews for, so I went ahead and did that... these are some of the oldest XPS conversions I've done, and due to the simplicity of the models, there's really not much else I could do to make them look any better (they're actually not that bad-looking for early GameCube models).
