    @Owl Here's the thing. I'm not against the "vaccine" even if it's just a therapy (and one that was unproven at the time) rather than a cure and was meant to inhibit transmission in a time when the virus was still dangerous. I know that a lot of the side effects people complain about are symptoms from getting covid. There's a part of me that thinks getting the shot was a "return the carts" moment and a lot of the people that talk about how no one returns the carts decided to leave it in the middle of the parking lot, directly in the right of way. Maybe it's because I'm with someone that's immunocompromised and covid is a big risk factor for, but this is something personal to me.

    But I've never, never been in favor of mandates, of trashing someone's life because they distrust our government and Big Pharma, of people losing their livelihoods and careers because they were concerned that taking the vaccine was riskier than just hoping you don't get covid. We're adults and we should be able to take our own health in our own hands and not have to fear professional or even personal repercussions for making that choice, especially when we're talking about a therapy that just blunts the impact of catching a disease rather than rendering you immune like traditional vaccines do. Honestly, I think we're lucky that we're still armed and ornery, because if we cucked and gave our guns away like Australia, we probably would have seen Australian results where a guy like him would be stuck in a shipping container in New Mexico or locked in the local Super 8 for a few months until the government decided he "wasn't a threat" anymore. I really hate that this is even a debate to begin with. No man should be treated like this for doing what's best for him and his. No child should have food taken off of his plate because his father was skeptical of two organizations that have a history of acting untrustworthy offering a "solution" to a problem that he doesn't feel will impact him or his family that heavily. It's cruel, and what point was even proven here?

    @sun @mischievoustomato @feld @rysiek I've used both Gimp and Krita recently and neither seem like they're going to be threatening Photoshop any time soon. Tasks that feel like they should be simple are somewhat complex to accomplish, and in Krita's case, incredibly resource-intensive if they use G'Mic.
