    @hj @coolboymew I am aware that this translation don't match lore and mostly 4 lulz, but that's the point. It's still better because they managed to make it fast and attract audience. Official translation didn't translate everything, or did it very bad (iirc they used standard editor fonts).
    The only case where I would consider that questionable is how 9 (Movie) was translated.

    @coolboymew tbh I'm not sure, I don't play with ru translation anymore. @hj said enough I think.
    In addition, new major games are not translated in Russia now, and no one can officially localize these due to the war.

    There's plenty of good ones, even fantastic by the standards of effort and quality. Creative team «Дядюшка Рисёч» (Uncle Risech) which worked for piracy distributors, translated the entire Neverhood in 1996. Even textures. Even voices in in-game video. In 3 days. The only thing they didn't translate is the wall of the entire Neverhood lore from that absurdly long hallway, it got replaced with a collection of russian IT/RuNet anecdotes and I think jokes from our bash.org. Comparing to Fargus voice-only translation (which actually is the official and lore correct one, but very dry), the pirated version is purely artistic, a lot funnier and more famous.
