Mut (mut@gayrobot.club)'s status on Thursday, 11-Jan-2024 18:39:02 JST Mut What I mean is I refuse to pay streaming services which may at any moment take the things I'd initially subscribed for and not even say anything, and I can't even to anything about it. I'd stopped giving them money a while ago when Google killed Google Play Music and replaced it with YouTube music which was/is objectievly much worse.
I'd never paid for any other kind of streaming, since the same things apply for them, but I sure have heard people tearing into them for removing the shows they initially subscribed for. They don't deserve my money if that's how they're going to play.
For games specifically my philosophy is "buy everything" unless it's some predatory DLC hellhole from a big company like "The Sims" is, at which point maybe buy the main game and pirate the DLC.
For non-streaming music I try my best to get things from Bandcamp if I can, unless the band does not exist anymore but their label still has the rights to the music (in which case I believe it is justifiable to pirate, since I do not think the original artists get any money from it, but feel free to correct me).
Thank you for reading my blog post
