I think somebody called S·Core your favourite noisartists favorite noise artist. I've not hear many releases, and only have two 7" and one CD, but it's all very good and unique.
@avantmusicnews Nice work, but I kind of expected more than a mere mention of Brighter Death Now, as it's an influential project, and a big part of CMI. I didn't know that Roger came up with the term "dark ambient", so that's interesting. But as I understand it, he also came up with the term "death industrial" to describe Brighter Death Now, which turned into a well-used term/genre, also. #BrighterDeathNow#deathindustrial
Haare - Ajna Star. This cassette sparked a new interest in this project for me. His discography is huge, and hard to pin down, which is of course a good thing. However, I've only heard a very small selection of it. This cassette is very low-key, crude, and eerie drone/ambient. https://haare.bandcamp.com/album/ajna-star
I failed to mention that there are also a fair amount of beats here, at long periods of time quite laid-back and groovy – and maybe accessible? At least it adds to the variation.
#NowPlaying#Merzbow - EXD. This reminds me of a time when I was playing "Space Metalizer" and I was really getting into it. Turned out that something had caused the CD to loop the same part over and over again without me noticing. So yeah, I like loops, and there are quite a few of them here. Room40 calls it "vision proto-industrial technoscape". Oh well. It's very enjoyable. #noise
#Ochu are one of my best discoveries of 2024. I first saw them live on a boat in Stockholm, rubbing pieces of wood against each other, breaking branches, etc.
On "Dry Routine", there are also some woodwork, with sounds from both a regular and an electric saw, and all kinds of lo-fi field recordings, layered and looped into captivating pieces. So far, it's my favorite release of the year.
The New Blockaders – Live At Hinoeuma. Great recording. A lot of low-end. It sounds a bit like being inside one of those car washes, but with a lot of rubble flying around, grinding and scraping against the car.
@nyxsael Oh, that's interesting. I haven't heard the remastered version, but it sounds like I should. The original is a bit…eh…blurry, even though I like it a lot.
Starting this Sunday, or rather SunRaDay, with the new Sun Ra Arkestra (for this recording, 24 musicians strong) double LP "Lights On A Satellite". It's great! Here's a video from the recording of the opening track that nicely captures the mood of the whole: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_RqMAl4hWk
