ICYMI I've updated my livestreaming announcement of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak on @damagecontrolblog with embedded video from Twitch. I make steady progress on the follower quests, but it's clear I'm getting to a point where I'm going to need better armor and weapons.
It's time for a few filler Sundays! I'll be running follower quests in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. I'll also consider multiplayer hunts if anyone in chat is interested.
ICYMI I wrote about attending Anthrocon for two years in the early aughts, then about some of my trip to Pittsburgh for this year's convention for @damagecontrolblog. A huge thank you to everyone for the kinds words about my write-up. Part two will be up tomorrow.
First, an important announcement regarding Monday livestreams. As for, tonight I'll be tackling more follower quests in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak for @damagecontrolblog. I can also open the multiplayer lobby if anyone in chat wants to hunt together. Join me at 8 ET for all the fun!
Hell of a day. If you need a breather from all the current events, I have part 1 of a write-up of Anthrocon on @damagecontrolblog tonight. I talk a little about my first two cons in 2004 and 2005, before jumping forward to this year. Look forward to part 2 on Monday!
@damagecontrolblog I'm going to transfer my Short Adventure demo game save to the Steam version and play a few minutes. (The demo is free and any one reading this ought to check it out.)
Then it's catching up on Demon Slayer, The Boys, and My Hero Academia. Also, playing Monster Hunter Rise:Sunbreak for the blog on Sunday.
For tonight's Quarantine Control on @damagecontrolblog, I wrote about the podcast, Tech Won't Save Us. @Dio_Senrab wrote about Trigun Stampede, and CWTyger wrote about The Last Unicorn. Check us out!
A great episode of Tech Won't Save Us. I was worried about they wouldn't talk about the Fediverse here at all, but they do. (This is an episode about Jack Dorsey.)
@suzed I played this nearly twenty years ago on the GBA. The Soul of Rebirth section completely broke me. I rage quit the game and had to push away the temptation to park my sedan on top of the cartridge. 😅 I feel like if I ever go back to FF2, it's going to be the Pixel Remaster version.
On another note, I managed to squeeze in another episode of Bang Brave Bravern earlier today. It is one of the strangest anime series I've watched in quite a while. The levels of camp are something else. Three episodes left until I finish the show.
My rough draft for tomorrow's Quarantine Control is done. I have a bit of time to start working on my Anthrocon write-up before work today. Good stuff.
The only way to combat this, is to rely on the fact that there are many more people that don't want this than do want it.
It's about turnout. Not conversion or persuasion.
Swing voters aren't real.
If enough Black people vote in the upcoming election, in the right places, Trump can't win. If not enough Black people vote, in the right places, Biden can't win.
We keep going from "doing nothing" to "despair" without ever passing through the common sense, easy, option: Be less racist.🤷🏿♂️
There's a lot of pictures I need to sift through from Anthrocon. Plus turn my notes into a write-up for the blog. It's going to be a busy end of the week. And my vacation is over. Back to work in the miserable heat.
I'm currently home and resting up from my adventures at Anthrocon. Much thanks to everyone who made it an amazing con, especially Coast Husky, Shadow D Husky, and Flynt the Corgi.
17,639 in attendance and $100K raised for charity is amazing!
I'm not sure if I'll go back next year, but I'll definitely be heading back to Pittsburgh in the future!
Yesterday was so busy that I didn't even get a chance to post. But it was a good kind of busy. I had fun. Now, I'm back at the train station waiting for the only train of the day to Philly. Coast Husky was kind enough to walk me back to Union Station.
I also said my goodbyes to Shadow D Husky and Flynt the Corgi. They were a pleasure to room with.
Today is my last day of Anthrocon. I have to leave early Sunday morning to catch the train to Philadelphia. So I'm going to spend most of the day at the convention. I'm debating on how early I'd like to hit the Dealer's Den seeing how crowded it was yesterday.
