Web apps are things that make like absolutely no sense in distro packages since they tend to update quite often and dependencies for those tend to be vendored (e.g. node_modules)

federated groups is the only thing that it still has over everyone else, but it's also not quite useful without other servers being able to understand those.

The incremental compiling stuff that @michcio@fedi2.0x7f.one contributed and updating vite has really made rebuilds of foundkey really fast.

One thing I do think programming languages should adopt is allowing if/else to be used as expressions, like in Rust. Honestly nicer than the ternary stuff so common in C and it's descendants.
